In this section we endeavour to answer the frequently asked questions
(FAQs) posed by visitors to the
site. Below you will find a list of questions, click on any question
in the menu to get an answer:
Q1: What do I do if I can't find the image that
I am looking for?
A1: Please use the contact
us form to let us know exactly what type of image you were looking
for. We have additional images in the library which do not appear on
this site and may be able to e-mail you low-res samples for you to choose
from. [back to questions]
Q2: The size for some TIFF images
seems very small for a high resolution file. Why is this?
A2: To enable us to deliver high resolution
files more easily over the internet we use ZIP compression for all TIFF
files. This means that you do not have to wait for huge downloads as
most files are below 7Mbytes. When uncompressed these files will be
approximately 18Mbytes. Most modern image software supports this TIFF
format. [back to questions]
Q3: I need my file quick
and I have slow connection. Can you send a JPEG instead of a TIFF?
A3: Yes. When you come to order there
is a message field that allows you to make special requests. Please
write a short note mentioning that you would prefer to receive a JPEG
file. All JPEG images are exported directly from the TIFF using a high-quality
JPEG compression setting and are usually below 1Mbyte. (Level 15. Where
1 is highest and 255 is the lowest compression). [back

Q4: How long will it take for my
image(s) to arrive by e-mail?
A4: Most images will be dispatched within
four hours. However we do not guarantee this turnaround sometimes delivery
may take longer. It would be very rare for you not to have received
your image within a 24 hour timeframe. We have no control over slow
or crashed e-mail servers that might sit between our mail server and
yours - this is often the cause of delayed/non delivery. [back

Q5: How long will it take for prints
to arrive post?
A5: If you have ordered an unframed print
and you reside in Europe or the US then you will usually receive your
print within three working days. Framed prints to these areas can take
up to seven working days to arrive but will usually arrive more quickly.
Other countries outside of Europe and the US may take longer. If you
would like to enquire about how long it takes to ship to your country
then please drop us a line using the contact
us page. [back to questions]
